Project Overview
The G. Michael Hoover KAPBCS Training Center is the home of Reyez Construction rapidly expanding workforce development programs. The Training Center reflects the effort that Reyez is making internally to invest in building the skills and success of our valued craft employee-owners.
The training center was built from the ground up with the hard work of dedicated, skilled Reyez employee. Concrete crews formed and placed all concrete throughout the Center for Craft Excellence and the main building, including foundations, slabs, curbs, sidewalks, driveways and drainage structures. The concrete teams also planned and managed the installation of the aesthetic exterior work of the polished concrete floors. Reyez Construction’s Transportation Group took care of all the sitework, including installing underground storm drainage, sewage, water, fire piping and rough and final grading. Teams from the Building Group managed construction as well as the design-build contract with Architekton, the architect firm. For the finishing touches, the Building Group, along with Reyez Facilities Management department and Talent Development team collaborated on the design and procurement of the building’s new technology, furnishings, and decor. Reyez apprentices also contributed, with students in the welding classes building the welding booths that their future peers will get to use for hands-on learning.
