Project Overview
Reyez Construction was engaged by a semiconductor client to implement two phases of a Manufacturing Plant Acid Waste Neutralization and Treatment Facility. The new system collects waste from fabrication operations which cannot be routed to other on-site treatment facilities. The Phase 2 process served as supplementary treatment to support the baseline Phase 1 facilities. The Phase 2 installation includes Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) pH adjustment, AOP systems including ozone generation systems and ozone contact tanks, Vent Ozone Destruction (VOD) units, UV Deozonation Units, MBBR pH adjustment, MBBR Aerobic Treatment System and associated equipment, various chemical feed systems including VSA/LOX, phosphoric acid and methanol dosing, a new administration and control building, and supporting electrical and instrumentation and controls.
The project team engaged the primary Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) early in the design effort to coordinate scopes of work, validate design criteria, and ensure procurement was consistent with the required construction schedule. The team identified multiple off-site manufacturing (OSM) opportunities to increase constructability, reduce project cost, and improve safety and quality. Full start-up and commissioning services were performed for this mission critical facility.
